Kylie and Strath planned a complete wedding to be held in Yungburra. Yungaburra is a beautiful little Tablelands Village on the Boundary of Lake Tinaroo, surrounded by green rolling hills and volcanic mountains. There is much of account and much of historical buildings, making Yungaburra an excellent position for wedding photos! The conditions was equal and go for most of the day with us ducking in and out of the rain.
We still managed to get some great shots despite the weather plotting against us!
Kylie and the girls got ready at Albert Manor, a local B&B right on the border of the Lake. I arrived there at 11.30 for the pre-wedding photo shoot. We waited for everyone`s hair and make-up to be ruined and Kylie`s dress to be ironed then we got on with winning the getting ready shots. Kylie looked stunning in her white robe and lace mantilla. Her bridesmaids wore black dresses with a nice sparkley silver brooch on the hip. All done, I headed over to the Yungaburra Village Chapel where the observance was to be held.
I met Strath and his boys and took some photos of them within the Chapel. Kylie and the girls arrived at the Chapel shortly afterwards in their stately white horse and carriage. Despite the locals efforts to spoil their progress Derani and Thunder managed to surrender the girls safe and go and earlier the rain arrived! The observance was performed by Father Greg Moses and lasted around half an hour. After the ceremonial and away the Chapel on the forecourt Kylie and Strath were showered with rose petals as they exited the Chapel. A group photo with all of their guests was followed by category and friends photos with the Bride and Groom. We had but finished the family photos when it started to rain! We all dashed back within the Chapel__I took some photos of Kylie and Strath while we waited for the rain to waste away. All right again, we headed back outdoors for photos around the Chapel and with the cavalry and carriage.
For the picture shoot we trotted round the streets of Yungaburra and so back to Eden House. The gardens here are delightful! Lush, green and tropical! The perfect background for a bridal party shoot!
As the sun started to set we decided it was time to lead back out to Albert Manor for a quick sunset photo on the lake. Although it was a bit of a thrill to get there and rearward in time for the reception it was worth it!
Feeling very pleased that the weather cooperated and we got the sunset shots, I left Kylie and Strath to love their reception with their guests and headed off.
Below are a few of my favourite images from Kylie and Strath`s wedding day. There were so many favorites! It was very difficult to only put up a few! You can view Kylie and Strath`s on-line album to see their whole day. Thank you for asking me to be your wedding photographer Kylie and Strath, it was a pleasure!
